F A Q

What are the steps after we fill out the form?

I'll get in contact with you as soon as possible, usually within one to three days maximum, to arrange for a call or a meeting (Zoom, Skype, Teams, telephone, or in person) to go over the ideas that you have or the details of your planning. During this call, we'll have the opportunity to learn about each other and see if we are a good fit to one another.
The next step will be to send you a contract with all the information about our engagement, to book your date with a deposit and to book our first meeting in person for a pre-shooting that is included in my wedding packages.

I love meeting my couples way before their big day if possible but definitively some time in advance to build a relationship of trust and complicity with them.

We don't have a set date yet, can we still message you?

Definitively, yes! As I said in the answer to the previous question, I love meeting the couples ahead of time and build a mutual trust relationship with them. If I can help you with my ideas and tips, it will make me extremely happy. You can contact me just to ask me questions. In the end if you do not decide to hire me as your photographer, I'll perfectly understand and we'll keep being acquaintances if you'd like.

If you already know you want to work with me because you like my style and my approach and you have already checked my pricing, but you have not set a date yet, we can reserve a tentative date with a small deposit if the date is at least nine months or more ahead. However, the date and full payment of deposit must be confirmed at least six months in advance. In the meantime, if somebody else requests to book a date that is tentatively reserved, you will receive my call to ask you to confirm it by paying the full deposit or to free the date and move it to a new one.

Are the travel fees included in your packages?

Yes, they are included if the events take place in the Great Montreal area and its surroundings up to 100 km away. There will be a surcharge for distances further than that.

For events outside the province or the country, the surcharges will be estimated on a case by case basis and will include transportation and accommodation, unless I am already on site on one of my trips, for which you can check my travelling schedule in the "About" section (schedules to be confirmed in due time).

What is included in your packages?

It all depends on which package you choose, but regardless of the specifics of each package, all of them include the following:

- Pre-wedding meeting with the couple, at least one month in advance to confirm details and planning
- Pre-wedding photo shoot of the couple, usually done together with the planning meeting
- Poster 10x13 of your chosen photograph from the Pre-wedding session (for reception hall entrance)
- Checklist/Schedule Guide for the Wedding day
- Online customized and password secured photo gallery to share with family and friends
- Post-wedding presentation and ordering appointment
- Digital photos sent by Wetransfer

What questions will you ask me about my project?

I'll start with the basic universal Ws: What, Who, When, Where and Why. Then I'll get in charge of the How. ;)

Why should I choose you as my photographer?

The most important factor in your decision to pick a photographer must be you identifying with the photographer's style, her approach and her own story. Secondly, if you are comfortable with her pricing, you should also go ahead. Lastly, but not least important, because you will be choosing someone who cares, someone who has a high sense of responsibility and attention to details, concerned with high quality service, excellence on the customer experience, and client satisfaction and someone who is always searching to improve herself each day.

What do you consider to be your style in Wedding photography?

My style in Wedding photography is natural, candid and spontaneous photography for the most part with some moderate direction. I will guide you through the process and let you know the stages, but after that, I will try to make myself and my colleagues very discreet, not to break the flow or the mood. I will also get you all the necessary shots, do not be concerned! However, be sure that we will try to get those shots without hiding the view of your guests and witnesses as much as we can. We will be discreet and take mostly candid shots but we will also guide you and ask you for posing when it is necessary.
I could say that my style is true colors and mood, but trying to get the best angles and the most flattering images for you. The images will be edited either basic or more advanced according to what is needed.

What is your process for booking a Wedding?

After deciding and letting me know that I am your photographer (awww, thank you!!!), I'll send you a form to fill out with the details of the event and a contract to sign. Once the contract is signed and the date reserved, I'll send you the first invoice for the deposit payment, which is 50% of the package price. This payment is required to confirm the booking of your date in my calendar.
The Pre-wedding meeting and photo shoot can be booked after this at any time, but a must for at least one month ahead of the Wedding day.
The 50% balance is due the day previous to the wedding.
The photographs will usually be ready within two to four weeks, depending on the length of your Wedding day and thus, the number of photographs taken.

What is the secret to taking a great photograph?

The popular saying "Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder" holds so much truth in my opinion. The perception of great is different in each person and for each circumstance. However, for me, a great photograph is the one that captures and conveys the mood, the essence, the light, the beauty, the truth, the meaning of one specific moment in life. In sum, for me, a great photograph is the one that moves you and takes you back to the exact moment it was taken and makes you relive that precious moment or even makes you discover something new each time you see it. Many times it makes you see something from a different angle or discover something you could not physically witness by your photographer did for you! :)

What do you love most about your job?

What I love most about it is to meet different people and through my work get to know them and one part of their lives even if it is for just one instant. I love when I can make them smile and if they love what they see captured in an image that I took of them, that is the most rewarding feeling of all.
